Nostalgia? maybe a reminder of a past life...

This song...i have posted in this blog..thanks to Youtube...(thanks is such a mild word) Youtube will bring humanity together...i hope..someday soon..

i used to hear songs on my small radio..back in the 80's..this was one of my favorite songs and i had no idea what the video looked like then (there was no way we could watch movies or television)...and as a natural thing to do, i imagined how it would be like..but today there is a face i can attach to this song...yet..the lyrics and the music haunt my soul just like the past..we still live for moments like these...my being is filled with so much peace..what can i say? words aren't enough..hmmm...pls do listen and let me know..

I read about the film 'La Vie en Rose' and eventually Edith Piaf, the Little Sparrow of Paris who lived during and enthralled the first half of the 20th century. The film is a biography of her life which is a collective medley of poignant stories from her birth to her untimely and tragic death at the age of 47. When you hear La Vie en Rose, you want to see the movie, read the story of her life, go to Paris to where she lay in peace.

Édith Piaf (December 19, 1915–October 11, 1963) was one of France's most loved singers, who became a national icon. Her music reflected her tragic life, with her specialty being the poignant ballad performed in a heartbreaking voice. Among her most famous songs are "La vie en rose" (1946), "Hymne à l'amour" (1949), "Milord" (1959), "Non, je ne regrette rien" (1960).
